Para Coat Technologies, Inc. (PCT) (www.pctconformalcoating.com) of Johnstown PA today announced the expansion of their business operations. PCT started their operations in a 1,000 sq ft. garage-like facility in Hornerstown. Since their ribbon cutting in November 2010 they have doubled their operations and have many exciting ventures on the horizon. “We hit the ground running and we never stopped”, stated Michael Rager Vice President of operations. “We knew early on we had what it took to make this business work and we adapted to the space we were previously in. We had to make it work because it was what we could afford.” Now with 6,000 sq ft Para-Coat Technologies is branching out their services. Their new location is 817 Franklin Street, Suite 100 Johnstown, Pa 15901. They started out with 2 employees, are currently at 5 with hopes of adding 5-10 possibly more- in the upcoming months. The company specializes in parylene conformal coating which is a nano technology that protects the substrate coated from moisture, dust, corrosion, fungus and extreme conditions. This lightweight polymer coating is applied in a vacuum deposition chamber. They work with the Military, Medical, Automotive, and Aerospace industries and are using their technology to make our lives better. They are hitting the market this year with their latest brand “Vapor Armor™” which will greatly affect the everyday consumer of electronics.
This technology will aide in our everyday lives by offering water protection for your cell phones and other hand held electronic devices. How many times have you spent a fortune on your device and then dropped or spilled water on it or other liquids that ultimately fried the device? With Para-Coat’s Vapor Armor™ those days are over. They plan on offering this service to the public via their website (www.VaporArmor.com) Retailers are extremely interested in this latest development, they have contacted PCT to send bulk orders in, then allow a markup for a margin on their end. By doing this, you will not be without your device, the protection will come standard. Ultimately PCT would like to get this in the hands of manufacturers worldwide. They have been contacted recently by a large camera manufacturer that is interested in this latest advancement.
“We envisioned great things for our company from the onset”, states Krista Rager President/ CEO of PCT. “We knew there was a demand for our services and we worked diligently on our business plan and with local agencies like JARI, City of Johnstown, Southern Alleghenies and Northwest Savings.” “With a great team in place we knew it was up to us to take our company to the next level.” Not only is this company pushing their latest brand “Vapor Armor™” they are also looking to get into aluminum anodizing services to serve the areas local companies. “Let’s grow the work force in Johnstown, and keep the business here”, states Rager.
